Transformer for LED tree
Discussion
Hi all,
Looking for a replacement transformer similar to the one pictured. It came with an LED faux tree which no longer lights up. Searched online but, not being that up on electronics, not sure exactly what I’m looking for. They all seem to have different specs to this.
Any help appreciated for what I should be looking for is much appreciated.
Thanks

The key features are 4.5V and 2.7 watts.
This seems to be the right thing on ebay:

But I consider it pricey.
I would not be surprised if the power unit is OK and it's the wiring in the LEDs that's failed!
I would definitely do some testing before spending any money.
You can get 5V power supplies much cheaper, maybe wire a diode in series to drop to about he right voltage?
3 alkaline cells in series would give 4.5V for testing.
