Son has a Belkin 15W charging pad (£20 from a well known retailer)
I've been trying to get one similar but they now seem to be mostly 10W. Is there some sort of risk and that's why the 15W one has been discontinued I wonder?

You sure about that? He wanted a 15W one and that's a 15W one...

Thanks but you'll note that has a USB C connector, I'm looking for the one with a standard USB connector to a 3 pin mains adapter.
But yes I see they're still doing them then so presumably not some sort of fire hazard or risking phone damage.

Surprised no one has mentioned David Watts yet.

My iPhone gets really warm when I use a charge pad, I'm sure my battery has suffered, I avoid them now and use a slow plug in charger.

That's the one my son has but when I tried to order one at the weekend and it was unavailable for delivery and only collectable at Greenock (3 hours away).
Order placed for collection in Oban, thanks Riley Blue.
