Hello Tony. Long time no speak.

Sky boxes... perhaps in the cloud? (Sorry).

There's now a place here in Torridon that you can take old electrickery... but I think you've moved south now - Oban?

ETA: I should point out to anyone reading that Oban is south ;0)

Hello Steve, yes eight years now in sunny (ha ha) Oban. Or Benderloch to be exact.

Trust all is well up north. Bought one of those batteries you recommended a while back. Had cause to use it once but only a couple of hours so no long time test. Hada few power cuts but only last 10 mins or so. Latest now is the frequent water being cut off for half an hour or so.

Actually, I'm laughing but whilst we have had rain forecast for the last few days it hasn't actually reached us. Still a very cold wind blowing down from your way though.

Our local recycling centre (tip) had a place for electrical stuff, another for TVs, another for... you get the picture. Was just thinking there maybe somewhere that could maybe put them to use rather than strip them. I can put them on FB give and get free, someone will take them no doubt, once they've found their lost cat/dog etc.

Keep in touch.

I gave an old Sky Plus HD box away on FB Marketplace over the weekend. The guy who collected it wanted it to replace his mother’s in which the hard disk had failed. There’s no value in them and it saved me a trip to the tip.

Just to touch on this, no help to your request!

I stayed down in Oban at New years for a couple days and noticed a TVR Chimera in silver opposite the flat we stayed in, your profile states Yellow but maybe you have another?

Need to update my profile, yellow one sold about 3 years ago. Saw a silvery blue one last week, possibly local as he stopped to chat to someone.
Gave the three boxes away to local folk, at least one went to a lady who's box had died.
