Sooo my mum managed to spill a bottle of water in her bag, with her phone in, so got warnings about drying it out before charging. So put it in a Tupperware of rice to dry it out, as per advice online.

Now she has a bit of rice wedged in there.

She has the last version of the SE with the finger print id what is the most similar current phone? Looking at Tesco website (where it will come from so she can go in for help) they have 15 or 16e at virtually the same cost. Is there much difference?

Can’t she just get a phone repair shop to remove the rice?

iPhones are fairly easily repaired as mentioned above. Unless the repair shop comes back and says the insides have corroded and can’t be fixed then you should stick with it. If you can’t then just a recent model that’s reconditioned off eBay. Save a fortune and few people really need the latest and greatest.

So, so sure I so wanted to write this. So, iPhones are so-so, so sorry I can’t help, so there wasn’t much point in replying. So, so sorry.

What a weird response, nope, just someone who has never had to visit such a place. Like most grown ups when I break my phone I buy a new one, I don’t go to a money launder to get it fixed. I thought that was just what teenagers did.

It's nice to go drop a grand on something you could solve with a cocktail stick if you had anything about you.
