Not a scam but won't work on a Mac.

Mac compatible version https://softmall.co.uk/product/microsoft-office-st...

Seems that 2024 is for newer Macs and 2021 is for older ones.

It's legit (here's the Groupon offer for the Mac version)

https://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/technivision-austr...

I bought it a couple of months ago. Groupon purchase gets you a discount code to use at a software vendors site (RC Software was the vendor when I bought)

You enter the discount code on their site and get a downloaded copy of fully functional office 2024 standard ( outlook ,word, PowerPoint, excel). Cost me £11.49 when I did it.

I did that, you need to download the licence too, you should have a link in the email.

Offer for windows is "Office 2024 Professional Plus or Office 2024 Standard" - why would anyone not choose professional over standard?

One thing to watch out for with recent versions of Office for Windows is that there is no simple way to select just the apps you want when installing, you have to have the whole suite. (I don't know if this applies to the Mac version.) I only want Word and Excel, I don't want Access, PowerPoint and particularly not Outlook!
There is a way doing this in Windows by using the Office Deployment Tool from MS and then editing an .xml file and doing some command line stuff but it’s a pain. You can find similarly priced licences for Word and Excel separately and that's the way I'll go next time I want a new install.

£11.99 and £1.20 off making it £10.79.
I'd happily pay that instead of using Google Sheets.

Use Excel for work and changing to Sheets is annoying at times.
Seems a bargain to avoid the stress!

Never bought office but bought Corel draw a couple of years back without issue, £39 as opposed to £679 or something

Glad I found this thread as my Office for Mac stopped working last week; to be fair I bought the licence around 8 years ago for £5. It still works on my iPad (Excel/Word) but was getting a message that Mac wasn’t part of my licence. In any case, I bought the Groupon deal for £10 and it works!
