Hello all,

I am afraid this is a 'help, I have no time to look into this properly!' post, so any input at all would be greatly appreciated.

Please may I ask for any recommendations anyone may have for good but also reasonably priced steering wheel and pedals setups?

It would only really be for some console games and (maybe in the future) a lower spec (cheap) dedicated gaming PC, so I don't need a 3-screen immersive racing rig with carbon kevlar seat and full effects movement or anything, just something that could be folded up and put away neatly between uses!

As I say, any guidance at all would be very gratefully received, but I also accept that 'DYOR, noob' is a valid response wink lol

Thank yoooooou!

I've recently got the Logitech G923 wheels, pedals & shifter along with a Playseat Challenge X. I'm really pleased with the setup, though I probably didn't need the manual shifter as I find I'm mainly using the paddles.

I went for a used 923 and than mounted it on an old Wheel stand Pro I had used with the previous Xbox wheel. When not in use I fold away/put it to one side.

Being using it now since last summer, makes racing games much more enjoyable, no plans on a triple screen to VR (mainly due to not enougj free time).

If I ever do get enough free time, I'll probably go down the route of getting an used fully built setup running off a PC rig, rather than trying to build a setup my self.

You can't really go wrong with the Logitech / Thrustmaster / Moza suggestions above.

Take a look and work out which wheels you prefer and go for that system.

The Moza would be my choice, or this Fanatec bundle : https://www.fanatec.com/eu/en/p/sim-racing-bundles...

The Logitech Wheels + Pedals + Gearshifter combo above:

£287.00 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0FKN5F96V/

appears to be available as separates as well, which appears to be cheaper at the moment??

Wheel £217.55 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00YUOVBZK/
Shifter £34.99 https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00ZWOUH4S/
= £252.54

Although the shifter on its own only has PS4 listed in its Compatible Devices section... so I will have to check if it is universally compatible or there are different versions.

EDIT: Logitech website states "When connected to Logitech G Racing Wheels: Microsoft Windows 10/11, Xbox Series XIS, Xbox One, and Sony PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 consoles" so I think it would be fine for a PS5...

Either way, the pricing seems pretty reasonable, thank you all for the recommendations!

EDIT: Combo is a bit cheaper at Currys at the moment, for £269, which I think is matching a 'buy the wheel and pedals and get the shifter for free' offer on the Logitech site - good to have options smile but do I resist until Black Friday...?? lol

Don't think you say what console, if it's PlayStation forget about Moza.

Not sure how far you want to go in to it but from the links posted so far, I'd say the Fanatec deal is the best. Fanatec have a decent selection of wheels, shifters and pedals so plenty of ways to upgrade if you get hooked.

Another option is the Thrustmaster t598. I run one of these and have had no issues but there are a lot of examples of people having horrendous disconnect issues. Something to be aware of.

Thanks - it is PS5 so no Moza!

Fanatec looks interesting but budget requirements appear somewhat higher... lol. Three-pedal kit alone starts at £180 from what I can see!

It would only really be for casual driving games on the TV in the lounge once in a while TBH so budget cannot be too crazy biggrin
