A cry for help here guys!

I have been tasked with evaluating basic image editing software for deployment in a project I am working on.

We are currently looking at Cartesian (I would be interested if anyone has any experience with this) but I also want to try other commercial and open source alternatives.

Only simple editing functions like freehand, circles and squares are required and the software must be easy enough for people with basic computer skills to use.

I have to have tested and evaluated all the packages by Thursday 5th February.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I downloaded Adobe photoshop elements and Adobe photoshop 7 from Kasaa Lite. Both included seriel numbers. Try that..although I have broadband. Just an idea.

I think Roadsweeper may have been looking for a legal option.

I always used to use Paint Shop Pro (Jasc) - was quite a good light image editing package but recent versions seem to have got very heavy trying to 'chase' Photoshop and not quite making it. Might be worth evaluating though...
