Comfort Seats

Just bought a SL500; which has comfort seats, but no Handbook. I see an adjuster with a range of 1-5, but what does it actually do?

No, the memory controls are on the door...

If these are on the seat then they control compressors in the seat bolster, sides and other areas within the seat back and bottom.
