Hi all ,come over from the BMW sidegetmecoatThing is ,want to upgrade my 120d auto .Looking at the cls 320cdi.Now the new 245bhp 3ltr 3 series ,that engine looks awesome (combined 49mpg!!)Thing is however much i like my bmw i dont fancy run flat tyres again.Very bumpy over our rubbish side roads.I imagine this must be like driving a tonka toy.So whats the cls ride like before i take a test.Thanks for input.

My father-in-law had a CLS 320CDI (before it was written off in a ford!) and I seem to recall the ride was superb.

Excellent car, particularly if you add the Brabus kit to the engine .... whistle

I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Hi Steve yep thinking of that brabus kit up to 270+ bhp i think ,about £1000 i think, not cheap,keeps your warranty i believe.

49 mpg..............they dont do thst do they?

Thats official figures, New aluminium engine, 0-60 6.1 (i think) 155mph ltd. 384 lb of torque thats as good as it gets methinks

F-in-L got 37mpg normally with a peak of 45mpg doing 70mph over long journey. You can manage nearly 50 at 55mph.

As for the Brabus kit, in the UK they are supplied by Mercedes UK and so are covered by warranty (my GL 320CDI has the same kit) ... whereas they aren't in Germany!

Steve thanks, Just as an aside ive got the eff dyn 120d auto .Re mpg one night on the M4 10 miles at 80mph =47mpg 10 miles at 70 =56mpg and incredibly 15 miles at 55 =72 mpg.
