CLS 320cdi...leasing...anything I should know
Discussion
Hi all!!
I have bene looking around at lease deals and note that there are some cracking deals available on the CLS320 CDI.....
I currently drive an E60 BMW 530i (petrol) which has been a good car, but has lost a fair bit this year in depreciation (£4k on a 2004 car is a lot in my book!), and has cost a fair bit in tyres/tax not to mention all the little niggles that I have had to get fixed, and the hassle involved in fixing them
So,....I am thinking of taking out a 320 CLS on a 12 month lease, for about £400/mth business user...I am self employed
What are the pros/cons of leasing..are there any hidden pitfalls, and can anyone give any general advice as its not something Ive done before so I want to go into it with my eyes open....

interesting
I'm also consider the lease vs buy at the moment and have come down on the side of buying
By pure coincidence, I'm looking at circa 2004 5 Series and C Class mercs and reckon they are tremendous value right now at £10-12k
Leasing over 12 months will cost circa £7k and a they're not going to lose that much in depreciation so my logic is to buy rather than lease

I have a CLS 320cdi. If it is on lease beware excess mileage charges and above all that the car is returned in 'perfect' condition. Lease arrangements work on the basis of charging the customer for putting the car back into a saleable condition.
With the residuals Mercedes are quoting and the prices I have seen they must be mad to continue to offer these deals (or desperate)!
