I have a 2001 Y reg SLK 320 Designo purple with 81 k. Full MBZ history. Good condition.
What is the current value?
I paid a lot for it, but in comparison to what I will buy, it should all even out.

Anything between 8 & 10K dependant on condition mileage etc appears to be the norm mate. 80k on the clock takes it to the lower end I'm afraid.

I have had mine 2001 since it was 18 months old when it had 3000 miles on the clock and its now done 40k all in all though I paid 25,000 for it take away 10k which I would easily get would mean I was out of pocket to 15 grand although divide that by 7 years of fantastic driving in a wonderful car means, that it has cost me just over 2k a year.

Cheap motoring in such a nice car

I just had my SLK valued, and despite its good history i am told it only books at around £7,500 / £7,750 (retail). I'm going to keep hold of it as CEN says, cheap motoring in such a lovely car.

I have a 7 year old SLK230 which I bought new for 29K. Its done 68000 miles and is a bit scruffy. I estimate its value at about £5-6000. So 7 years of fun driving for £3.5 per year. I guess the depreciation will now drop to about £1000 per year or less. So little point in selling it. I will probably look to pick up a barge bargain later on this year, then just use the SLK for summer jaunts.
