Hi Team,

Assistance required please.

Can someone tell me how to reset the service reminder on my 1998 clk 200?

I've tried to do it with the bonnet and doors closed but i must be missing something.

Thanks, appreciated.

I would also be grateful to know how to do this.

My year 2000 CLK 320, has joined my small collection of retired cars, following 22 years of very reliable transport.
Servicing is now on an extended basis and I think the indicator now tells me that the service is a few hundred days overdue.
It has always been looked after by a main dealer, but an independent will now do the work necessary to keep it in running order.

Some of these W208 Coupes and Convertibles are in beautiful condition, still run as new, but have no value.
For that reason, I prefer to keep the car to enjoy driving occasionally, instead of receiving only a few hundred Pounds.

Please help.
I guess the answer might be fairly straight forward and someone here will probably know.

Thank you.

Try this:

Switch ON the ignition and immediately press the trip reset 'R' button twice.

Switch OFF the ignition.

Press and continue to hold the trip reset 'R' button again whilst switching the ignition back ON.

Still keeping the trip reset 'R' button pressed in, after 10 seconds or so the new service interval should appear in the display.

If that doesn't work I'll have a dig around and see if I can find my old notes from a similar-age, but different model, MB I had back then
