Thi is a classic Mercedes.


Control room for the 333 brake 3 litre V6 turbo. Comfy and perfect. Nine speed auto and paddles, Eco, Comfort, Sport and Sport+ modes.


It's big: 4,90 m and 1.9 tonne.


Proper four seater: I (1.86m) fit behind my drivers seat.

Luxury Roadsters with plenty of poke: 370 brake / 500 NM biturbo 3 litre V6 in a pretty 1.600 kgs shell. I'd opt for the slightly bigger SL. Almost twice the price tag and without the AMG's drama antics.

Agreed, and the GLC coupe is definitely not a coupe - a hatchback yes, a small suv, maybe!

R129 SL 60 V8 - Owner had his on the rollers: 412 hp.


R129 SL600 V12 - Das Haus knew the V8 outclassed the 405 brake 12 pot and put the eight in the books for 385...


W114 250C - I so love these coupes from my youth...

Sod it. I like old Benz better...

One of the more insane drives I ever had was with this 2003 SL 55 AMG tuned by the Danish Kleemann.

Power comes from a supercharged V8: 900 NM and 635 hp.


The rumble is absurd and I never touched more than 3500 rpm... Biblical acceleration.


A 55 is a nice cruiser with 385 hp. Kleemann added superpowers which boost performance to SLR levels.

How much I love an R107 the Coupe version catches my drift. In my eye this is the sensible equivalent to a Longchamp or XJ classic.

SLC is an odd car but over time is very cool indeed. SL 55 can be tuned outrageously and makes a great noise. Great photos thank you.
