Hi Chaps, A quick question please for the 124 owners out there? Bought new in 2018 and 16 months and 6600 miles in on my car and the washer fluid light came on, topped up and thought I would dip the oil at the same time. Imagine my horror to see nothing on the gauge at all! How much should these things burn, the dealer is telling me they see them in with 1 litre of use every 3000 miles, which seems horrendous to me.

Doesn’t sound that shocking to me. My Alfa happily glugs 500ml per 1000miles or so.

Anything up to 1l per 1000 miles is considered within "normal" range.

I've had cars that burnt that much, and cars that burn none...1 litre every 3000 miles isn't too bad.

Same engine in my previous Mito QV used similar, no cause for concern. The 2.0 JTS in a 156 I had previously used much more than that and was considered OK.

Keep a can in the boot if you’re using selenia.
