I've read a fair bit about the sqeaky wishbone issue on GTAs and as I'm planning to take a look at a 60-odd-thousand-mile GTA at the weekend I want to make sure that I check for this issue. Can anyone tell me the best way to notice if there's a problem - bouncing the car, driving over speed bumps, camber changes etc? And will it be really obvious if there's a problem, i.e. is the squeak loud enough to hear whist driving with the windows up etc... I'd really appreciate any advice you can give. Thanks.

Speed bumps and just general driving down the road over bumps. They tend to do it when they are cold more than when they have been driven a while.

What Wrinx said, I had mine replaced today (top) and they were like I had mice living in my suspension frown mines on 55K so I reckon if they haven't been changed already they'll be more than overdue at 60K

Mine squeak a *bit* when they're cold, so I reckon that's another bill looming. I've already spent £2k this year and we're barely into Feb.

What did it cost you Ghosty?

Mine had one very squeaky front bush at 73K, but it was tempramental and sometimes perfectly quiet.

Think it just depends on the weather conditions, moisture, temperature etc.

Zeatek Ally undertray
4 wheel laser alignment and camber adjustment

I got the wishbones from ebspares OEM apparently redesigned to try to stop them failing so much and reasonably priced.
