Got a problem with a rear light bulb. It keeps going out but swapping bulbs makes no difference. It works to start with but if turn the ignition off and on again you lose the 12v feed. My local garage and local specialist have both given up.
Appreciate any assistance.

It could be the rev counter, i had a similar problem. The rev counter has the 'blown light bulb' icon and it has a knack for blowing the fuse which for the rear lights, normally only one light blows, i ended up taking my rev counter out and swapping a small
part of the circuit board/resistor and that seemed to do the trick.

It might not be that, but try Alfaowner.com as a few people have had similar symptoms

Agreed on it might be the Rev counter!

I prefer using alfa156.net for queries!

I had a problem very similar to this which ended with my rear lights not functioning but my breaklight/indicators etc working. I needed a new Body Control Unit apparently which cost me an arm and a legs.frown
