Hi All

Finally back in the Alfa fold after a few years without one.

I've bought the car I lways wanted: A 1970 GTV 1750 Mark 2. It's white with black interior and will be safely ensconced in the garage in a cou-ple of weeks time once some bodywork bits and pieces have been seen to.

Can't wait

Anyone on here had one of these and got any tips?

Whooo Hoooo!
Good choice.

I have a 1968 Mark One in Giallo Ocra with black trim, and my mate has a 1968 Mark One in the same colour scheme as yours!
Lovely lovely cars.

I'm sure you will enjoy it when it comes Maycott. I don't think I've ever used a more satisfying gearbox! It just feels so "mechanical". Does that make sense?
The cars must have been incredible in period. They all have disks all round, five speed box, and a real feel of "proper engineering". They also go very well indeed. Maybe not that nippy off the line, but once they are up and running they will surprise many a modern car.

Mind you, they were flipping expensive new!

I'll get some pictures taken and loaded up ASAP

It's having some body and paintwork done, but as soon as its finished I'll post some here.

I don't think I've ever been so excited about a car!!

There's a couple of bits and pieces I'll need to buy over time, can anyone recommend good parts suppliers?

EB are indeed excellent.
Can I also recommend www.classicalfa.com - excellent website and service. Also www.highwoodalfa.com .

And of course joining the Owners Club.

Book it in for a service at a main dealer and see what they say

I used to work at a main dealer a few years ago Pwig

From my experience, I'm not even sure they'd know which end of it to look to find the engine

Cheers for the spares tips, I'd forgotten about EB spares....used to get bits for my 75 from them. Great bunch of people
