hi alfisti

alfa have finally recognised the need for a recall on the failing bonnet catch (i'm assuming you've seen the pics, heard the stories????

it's limited to 02> apparently, but give your local dealer a call anyway?

You will all get a letter in the post if it needs doing

Mine's an X reg - I haven't had the letter but Ihave had a dodgy bonnet catch for some time now...

I have had to bust open quite a few bonnet catches as they have sized up.. so keep on lubbin them.

I got that same registered letter yesterday, but for my 147. The bonnet has always worked fine, but I'll take it in anyway.

The main thing is to drop the bonnet from a foot or so rather than gently lowering it and then pressing it shut. What has been happening is that the lever inside the cabin is not returning to the shut position, so double check that the lever is in the correct position after you close the bonnet.
