Guilia QF Ground Clearance

After my recent service (see my post) they had found some scraping one the under side but have never seen a QF without some. I think you'll be fine on speed bumps/ferries etc. anytime the spoiler is not deployed is not an issue. I felt mine bottom out on a spirted drive over undulations a couple of times when it would have been lowered. Subsequent inspection revealed nothing to my hand or eye. I haven't seen anything in the forums about this being an issue myself but will watch the thread. Best car I've owned.

And my car is a 2017 which has a lower ride height than some of the later ones.
I would say it's perfectly judged really.
The only time to be a bit careful is when you are on a real;ly bumpy undulating road like on the Fennes, in Dynamic mode the splitter goes down further so it can kiss the tarmac.
I've been on more ferries, shuttles and car parks than I can count without issue.

I have a 2017 QF and live down a farm track so my front spoiler is a bit scraped underneath.... no visible harm up to recently wacking a low kerb which means taking it off and getting a decent repair. Reverie in Colchester offer fixed price repairs on these starting from £750. New from a dealer these devices are £2300 and the two actuators are £650 a piece.....
For those who are just a bit anal about this you can face the underside with a material used under rally cars.... UHMW polyethylene.

I have a 2019 with the very latest springs fitted under warranty. No issues with speed bumps in Europe and UK after 17k miles, though this is 2 up and light luggage carried. 4 up may cause issues. Ferry companies are pretty good with loading you and car too. some driveways need to be taken at an angle to help avoid scrapes on the on the rear tray, which can pick up loose stones etc. Worth checking underneath every so often, but its easy to clean out.

Bigger issue is people driving headfirst into spaces and whacking on kerbs. Many have been caught out! Even in a lowly veloce like mine.
The 2017s are lower than the later cars. Not sure exactly when the spring change happened, late 18? So if it’s a worry buy a later one.
