Guilietta 2.0 JTDM Oil Leak

My 2011 Guilietta has sprung an oil leak from what looks to be the joint between gearbox and block. I haven't had a chance to clean the area and look at it properly yet but are there any common issues with oil leaks in this area?

Also, I get a Check Engine warning light occasionally. When I connect my OBD it just says something like Zero Input Detected. Again, does anyone know what this is likely to be?
