Hi All

Have a 939 Alfa Spider and these are infamous for getting water ingress into the boot area and subsequently into the roof ECU.
Plan is to try and address the water in the boot by new seals etc but looking at a way of protecting the ECU. These are like rocking horse poo to get hold of and no longer made.

I did think of wrapping it in cling film but didn't know if condensation might build up inside the circuits plastic container. Also thought about putting vaseline around the numerous connector blocks.

Anyone come up with a decent solution to such a problem please ?

Thanks in advance

When I had one for a couple of years, I thought putting the ECU inside a think polythene bag of some kind was the accepted solution?

Hi. Cheers for the reply. Yeah I did think of a bag. It does actually have it's own thick plastic bag that the case of the ECU sits in but moisture still manages to get in there some how.

I'm probably going to spray the circuit board with PCB varnish, wrap it in cling film and then inside this plastic back

Hopefully all of that will help !
