Abarth Brembo brakes - very soft
Discussion
I drove my mums abarth the other day and the breaks were soft and spongy. I haven't driven her car in a while but they were never this soft.
I took it for a fast drive this morning and emergency braking simply doesn't exist. It will stop eventually but nothing like it should. For what its worth you can't pump up the brakes.
The car has done 13k or so, about 5 years old and has the brembo brakes.

You may have air in the system - brake fluid needs to be changed every 2 years or so to get rid of water in the system (brake fluid is hygroscopic) so worth checking out if this is due or not. I tend to change coolant and brake fluid every 2 years to reduce corrosion in the engine/plumbing.
