Y plate 156 front subframe replacement
Discussion
It’s been a number of years since I had an Alfa and once upon a time a new front subframe for a 156 was around the £150 mark (supply only). I’m looking at a car tomorrow that based on mot advisory’s the last couple of years I reckon will need done.
The problem is I can’t seem to find a supplier for a new subframe. Any advice from the experts on here? For reference it’s a Y plate 2.0TS veloce which I have no idea if the 2.0TS subframe is any different to any other based on engine or age or even how much I’m looking at at. The car is well priced given the age and apparent condition based on pictures but I’d rather not buy it and get stuck for months trying to source a subframe.

I'm pretty sure they're all the same - I'm certainly running a V6 subframe in a JTD with no issues (and the JTD frame is now in a V6).
There are some minor differences in the centre tunnel mounting bolts - some are M10 holes and others are M8, easily fixed. If you have a car with the body mounting plates that come off the subfame (all of the 3.2s) then you'll need to weld the nuts into your new frame.
