New Alfa Romeo owner
Discussion
Took delivery of my first ever Alfa Romeo last Thursday, a 2020 Giulia Quadrifoglio. I’ve had a soft spot for them since seeing my very first one in the flesh attending the PHSS meet at Goodwood in December 2016, but having just bought an E92 M3 at the time any thoughts of owning one got sidelined to my mental wish list. Fast forward five years and here we are, dream car bought, so far it hasn’t disappointed, it’s not a daily so hopefully it retains that special feeling when I do get behind the wheel.
I’m sure I’ll be on here asking silly questions, so bear with me, I do have my first track day booked at Goodwood in October, so it’ll be nice to see how it compares to previous cars I’ve driven around there. First silly question, I presume the standard brakes and pads are up to track work? I ended up putting Pagid RS19’s in the M3 as the standard set up wasn’t great.

Stunning
The giulia is a real head turner in most spec but the quad is stunning and does look ace in black.
I nearly got a veloce before the pandemic and got a 330i instead. I'm now looking at a Porsche but a guy near me has one of these and everytime I'm walking past with the dog I'm so very tempted. Absolute stunner. Great noise too
Enjoy.

Quick question for any QF owners.
Air conditioning / fan speeds up every now and again for 10 or 20 seconds….sounds like it’s revving up to do something then goes quiet again. I’m sure another car I had did something similar but can’t for the life of me remember what car. It’s like the fan is powering up to a higher speed then slows down again.
Doesn’t do it all the time, usually within a few mins of starting up. Will pay attention now to when to keep a log.
Do they all do that sir, or something to get the dealer to look at next time it’s in ?

I think it is a case of ‘they all do that sir’
It seems the A/C is programmed that way in all recent Alfa’s.I remember my 156’s did it too!
It’s best to leave it alone and let it get on with it, if you fiddle with it to stop it doing it, by manually turning the fan down they seem to get confused.
