Cambelt noisy on Punto JTD

My Punto 1.9JTD 2004 with 164,000 miles, I had a new cam belt fit 20,000 miles ago not a cheap but good quality belt kits. Now I had a stranger noisy, but I can't explain it, I give you an example when it idles it sound light like click, click when increase the rev the more noisy it gets click, click rapid the engine vibrate jerk and shake the block! The condition of belt it looks, wear quickly for those 20,000 miles.

I am hard of hearing difficult to hearing exactly what it is, so I have taken to my local garage as a friend who is work there, he has confirmed the belt has been over tight too hard now has damaged the tension bearing.

So that is not good, I was wondering if I need to change the water pump as well? It has been changed the same time as the belt, or I should leave it?

Yes, it is a good idea to change the waterpump while the belts are off as well as all tensioners/bearings.
