Mito Twinair Timing Chain Repalcement

I am wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a guide to replacing the timing chain on a MITO twin air please ?
Though it only has 41k miles we have owned it for the past 2k miles and it always ran a bit rough.
Plugs , oil/ filter changed to little avail.
It has now started to through camshaft error position codes along with a body module code which appears to be connected.
I replaced the camshaft sensor with a new Bosch one and the car ran even worse !
I have had no luck with local specialists - appear to have no interest in even looking at it.
I’m going to tackle the job myself but it would have been nice to see some instructions too.

Body control codes won't affect the running of the engine at all, but this platform is prone to water ingress into the fuse box which causes all sorts of weird gremlins.
Silly question but has it got enough oil in it and is it the correct oil.
The twin airs misfire or run rough when oil level is low and can be particular on the oil grade used when serviced.
It’s something daft like 0/20 I believe
Just a thought as be cheaper and easier to do an oil and filter and see what happens.

Ok, B1067-67 could be either the Battery, Engine earth strap or fuse box. If the battery is more than 5 years old then my money would be on that.Camshaft position error would come up or camshaft sensor short P0340-15

P0340-15 is unlikely to be timing chain failure unless the guides have worn and introduced some slack but I would do a visual inspection before buying any parts. I think it is more likely the multiair unit is on its way out. This is common if it is serviced according to the UK schedule of 24 months/20'000 miles. These engines must have an annual oil change.. I don't know if the Twinair has this but on the multiair engine there is a small oil strainer in the head that strains the oil going into the Multiair unit and this can get blocked. Bet bet is to get a compression test done.
When was it last serviced and when were the spark plugs changed? Who did the service?
Agree with the Oil change comments. It may have been poorly serviced in the past. Oil level and quality are critical on these. If you have a friendly Fiat or Alfa specialist with access to WiTech should be able to download the pages of the Technical manual that you require. They also have guided diagnostic procedures for ECU error codes.

Though it is genuine mileage at 40,000 miles there’s no evidence of regular services.
I have just removed the timing cover as it was leaking badly and it’s clear that a chimp with a chisel has been in already.
Stripped thread for the water pump cover and botched up with isopon to make up for the break through the aluminium!
Sealant in the wrong places and insufficient where it was needed.
I suspect it has had a chain set but I will replace it while I’m in there.
I am thinking the uniair unit is probably toast.
My major problem is that here in Northern Ireland there seem to 2 specialists and a main dealer.
The 2 “specialists “ were useless .
One of them told me there’s a terrible noise from deep in the engine and to get rid of the car.
The noise was the DMF

The second specialist is getting back to me apparently. I rang him 4 times since start of December .
Clearly no interest in looking at it so I have bought the timing tools and started on it myself.
Once the engine is back together and I have replaced the clutch / fixed the inevitable damage to the gearbox , then I’ll probably have to bite the bullet and take it to the main agent.
All very tiresome
