Brera Spider to be launched at Frankfurt show?
Discussion
I asked this on GTVV6.com forum a few days ago but didn't get an answer so I thought I'd try here... I heard somewhere that the new "Brera Spider" is to be launched at the Frankfurt motor show in September, but try as I may I cannot see any confirmation of this on the web. Does anyone know for sure - I might be tempted to go over for the day. Can't comment on Frankfurt as a place to visit, but I can tell you www.italiaspeed.com have some photos of the Brera Spider.
Looks great, but I'd take the coupe

I do know what you mean. The Brera coupe is gorgeous, but lacking a certain something that the concept had.
Comparing pictures of the two, it's all in the proportions. Also, the concept had longer doors (never mind scissor opening) that meant there was no "additional" side window.
All very subtle, but it makes a difference.

OK so the Frankfurt Show is now open, has anyone been? I can't find any pictures or news on the intended launch of the Alfa Romeo Brera 'Spider', anyone seen anything? I've looked on Italiapeed.com which is normally pretty good with news but nothing! Ted have you been yet?

p.s. I've seen the 8C Spider concept but as it's not available I'm more interested in the Brera Spider...

A rather brief Google search would indicate that it wasn't launched there
Still, as both Autocar and AutoExpress had photos of the car that appeared to be at a customer clinic/viewing thingy, it can't be that far off.
Odd though, as its not as if Alfa has anything else brand new at the show (ignoring the 159 and Brera coupe).
