Abarth 595 - Turismo or F595?
Discussion
Hi all,
I have been interested in an Abarth 595 for some time. Current lease car is a 2020 Seat Arona FR. Great car, no issues, but over the last 2 years, I can't help but realise it's boring as hell to drive. I only do about 5k miles a year for leisure use, and have use of a Fiat 500, so I know the driving position etc.
I've just test driven a 2022 Abarth 595 Turismo at a Abarth/Fiat dealership local to me. Ride seemed a lot smoother than I was anticipating, given the comments of harsh ride on this forum, however, I gather that the Turismo has a different suspension setup to the F595 (Koni shocks?). It certainly has some kick and is definitely more fun than my Seat!
I have asked the dealership to price up a PCP cost on an F595, as it is my understanding that the resale value of the top spec cars is worth the extra money. I've asked them to add the Style pack and the 'Yellow' pack, with the colour chosen being Record Grey.
My question is, is the ride/exhaust noise any different in the F595? I know it has the Monza exhaust, but is it worth the extra money? I don't want to back out and get a Turismo if I end up getting one, and then regret my decision. Is it worth test driving the F595 separately?
Any other advice on ownership/living with these cars is greatly appreciated.

I nearly bought a 595 Competizione but found the Sabelt seats gave me a numb and sore bum if I sat in them for any length of time.
Pretty much this. Get a test drive. The sabelts are by far the best seats I’ve had in a car and many non car people said the same, however as the above shows they’re not for everyone. I’d always say get the best model you can afford.

I sat in the seats of the F595 (there's a demo car sat in the showroom), and found them comfortable. I think you are right in saying I need a test drive to see the difference. I’d always say get the best model you can afford.

That's interesting you say that, I've seen both good and bad things about the Sabelt seats. I did feel a slight difference in posture when sat in them (maybe the lumbar support or something was different?)I nearly bought a 595 Competizione but found the Sabelt seats gave me a numb and sore bum if I sat in them for any length of time.

They are brilliant as far as short term comfort and provision of support and stability when in "drive it like you stole it" mode. The problem is more when you are in Scotland to London mode. Tannedbaldhead said:

Again to counter that I’ve done Hampshire to Stuttgart in a day with sabelts and got out with no aches which can’t be said for other cars. Forums | Alfa Romeo, Fiat & Lancia | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
