I have a 2020 Giulia veloce TI that is coming up to its 30k mile service. The car is still under warranty

My dealer has told me that the Alfa Service schedule requires a fuel flush at a cost of £120 on top of the £435 service charge.

I think its bks, but want to be sure as the car is still under warranty and I have a couple of non engine warranty claims in.

Is my dealer trying it on?

These guys give a pretty good outline of service schedules and items.

Is yours petrol or diesel?

I wonder what they flush it through with and what cleans better than fuel? What gets cleaned as I cant see fuel lines getting blocked?

It's what's known in the trade as 'wallet flushing' biggrin

Complete snake oil.

100% won't do anything positive. At best they charge you but don't do anything, at worst they actually chuck something in that's not petrol or diesel.

I'm now quite irritated by the dealer in question

When I phoned they said 27k mile service was £435 plus the snake oil, plus £15 loan car insurance
I phoned today to query it and they said the service will be £377

Phoned another main dealer - Service is £275 includes loan car, no snake oil mentioned.

So I have cancelled the service at dealer 1 and gone to dealer 2

Ah, Alfa dealers haven’t changed then.
Still toying with the idea of a QF

“Alfa Romeo, where no fks are given”

It would help the community if you could give the details of the dealer who was trying to sell you snake oil and quoted an inflated service cost to boot....

I would if I was happy with a PG ban. sadly it breaches the forum rules

I am based in the Midlands but not as far east as Nuneaton - google may tell you where the dealers are.........

You can’t name and shame on here.

I would really like a fuel flush for my Alfa though, along with a service and a loan car that I am prepared to pay extra for - perhaps the OP could suggest somewhere that I could get this done?

A dealer once tried to sell me a fuel treatment that “100% will improve your economy”

I pointed to my Nissan Leaf outside and invited him to prove that.
