Is there much of a used market for Alfa 166s?

I am buying a new car and we are selling my Dad's '99 166. Does anyone know if there is much demand for these privately otherwise it will be traded in with the associated low price...

I'm sure they offer better value than the equiv 156.....but they are pretty rare. Saying that, spotted a lovely '05 plate one just now.

Have a search on Autotrader and see if there's many about. I hate to think how little you'd get as a trade-in though

Friend of a Friend was offered 3k trade in on an early T-Spark with sensible miles. My brother in law bought it from him and managed to get about £4k as Private sale after a £500 pound service, valet and a couple of new boots.

bad news if you're selling, great if you are buying. It's a lot of car for the money. Unfortunately many peeps believe big four door cars can only be German or Swedish otherwise they spontaneously combust or corrode after going through a puddle. They also believe they have lousy residual values but in this regard they are right.

It's a lovely car - it'll be a shame to see it go. Been driving it round for the past week, the exhaust note is just

I don't think I've encountered a exec saloon with such looks and personality before.
