Parkers have it valued at £4280 for private sale, good condition, 50,000 miles.

At over double the mileage, 4 owners and no history I think you'll be looking at a frighteningly low amount.

As an example, there's a 2000 166 2.0TS on autotrader with 102k miles for £2995! That's fora 1 owner example with full service history!!

There are even V6s on there with less miles for under £4k.

Sorry, but the 166 does depreciate quite spectacularly. Having said that, if you're it's 4th owner I'm sure you got it at a bargain price.

I have to agree that you will probably get only about half of the car's 'intrinsic' value.

I sold my 2000W 166 2.5V6 with only 70k on the clock, FSH and in superb condition for £3750 earlier this year. Broke my heart to see it go but I was given a company car (Citroen C5 - yuk!)

I would reckon about £2500 for yours in the current used car climate - but I'd be delighted to be proved wrong. Hope you get lots more for it. 166s really are super cars and I wouldn't hesitate to get another (maybe the diesel).

Glad I've still got the 156 2.0TS!

Yep - they're cracking cars for the money, which is great news when you're buying but not so good when selling. That milage, that (lack of) history, the fact that its a 2 litre and, annoyingly, the fact that its an Alfa may make it hard to shift at anything more than a stupidly low price. Do you really need to sell it, or could you keep using it until it dies of old age?
