156 ABS problems

My ABS warning light is on, tried stabbing the brakes hard a few times thinking it might right itself but to no avail, ABS isn't working either. Pulled the ABS fuse and also the big multiplug on the main ABS unit on the bulkhead, reconnected all and its still the same.Someone suggested I may have to have the ABS ecu reset by a specialist using the Examiner software. Any ideas? and if it needs to be reset does anyone know of anyone in the Bedfordshire area who could do it???PLEASE!!!!
