156 central locking/alarm gremlins

Hello,

I have a problem with the remote central locking and alarm on my '98 156 V6. The battery had gone flat over a couple of weeks! When I recharged it, the remote wouldn't lock the car or set the alarm the manual central locking works, the car starts OK and the fuses seem to be OK

Does anyone know if there is a reset sequence that needs to be done or have I missed somthing else obvious?

Hmmmm, I'd be interested to hear any advice too.

Seems one of our remote plippers has just died.....the spare works so I'm hoping a new battery will fix the original.

Still, is there a "reset" procedure as asked in the first post?

Had this problem on Sunday, Mrs DGr replaced the battery in the key and it was sorted. No reset needed. Try holding the key button down for a few seconds as I dimly remember this reseting it once.... May have been the Lotus though.....
