Having bought some smashing 18" Zender Sienna rims for my 3.0V6 Spider I am going advertise the old 16" rims on e-Bay and here on Pistonheads For Sale Section. They are the multi-hole spokey ones that I call 'teardrops' (don't know if this is the correct term but the holes round the edge are teardrop shaped). They are about 3 years old and in perfect condition. Anyone got any ideas on what they are worth? Of course, they would upgrade the looks of a Phase I Spider quite nicely! Rich...

They're worth whatever someone will pay for them, but unfortunately for you not that much, as there's a lot of them on the market as everyone seems to want to swap the 16" teardrops for either 17" teledials or 18" siennas.

Shame really, as the teardrops are (IMO) the best looking wheel Alfa uses/used.

What do the siennas look like then

Funnily enough rather like 18" teardrops! They are perfect for the Alfa Spider and I presume were designed especially for it? As for the 16" wheels I agree they are nice, the problem is that Alfa UK in their wisdom, decided that unlike the 3.0 GTV which as 17" wheels the 3.0 V6 Spider would be marketed in the UK with the same 16" wheels that the 2.0 had. As I previously had a 2.0 Spider also in black, I wanted something to make it different visually and the 18" wheels do this perfectly. Rich...

Very, very good link! Those Sienas are very nice indeed.

They would definitely be in my top 3 alloys along with:

17" teledials (shame mine only has 16"ers ) and
17" GTAs!

Aha! Herein lies some confusion. GTV/Spider "Teardrops" are these:

and Sienas (whether 16" or 18" are this design:

Indeed Pete, as I said in my original post "I don't know if this is the correct term but the holes round the edge are teardrop shaped"... Hence I've always called the GTV wheels 'Teledial' wheels because they look like old telephone dials and there is nothing teardrop shaped about them whilst the holes in the Spider's wheels are an obvious teardrop shape? In that case, there should be a bit more of a market for your wheels (which are Zender Sienas fitted as standard to the later Spiders). Teledials are these:

Oh I dunno, I had the same 16" wheels on my 2.0 Spider and the 3.0 V6, I don't know if they are made by Zender or not but either way the pictures are explicite enough so anyone interested can work out what they are Cheers Rich...
