Which one was it??

On Top Gear a couple of years ago they put an Alfa up against a Focus RS and a Golf R32, i think it was a 147, but which one??? Maybe a 3 litre.

Also what are they like.

It's the 3.2 V6, and I'm pretty sure there's a couple of people on here who have one so they can fill you in on how good they are.

I'm running a 147 GTA. I really like it. They are seriously quick and great for long distance GT style driving. They suffer a bit on bad roads as the ride is tight to say the least and the ground clearance is not much. The V6 engine has got to be one of the best engines ever made, but it would be fair to say putting 250 horses through the front wheels, what with the weight of the engine up front does contribute to some limitations in the handling department. You want to be careful in the wet, and you never want to turn the traction contol off in such weather.

All-in-all my GTA is just an awesome machine. I'm not tired of mine yet, and I don't typically keep cars that long. The sound of that engine on full chat sold it for me.

It looks lovely, i like the styling of the Alfa, currently have a 156 and since i have just written my bike off i am looking for a weekend toy. Unfortunately the 147 GTA is out of my budget. Maybe next time

exactly what redgta said....plus turning circle can be bad when parking and fuel consumption isnt great. That said they are great cars to look at, sit in and ofcourse drive!!
