Yesterday saw the debut of Denbies Wine Estate on the Sunday Service calendar - what with alcohol and driving traditionally being such a good mix. It turns out, though, that they're actually a ruddy good combination (if you leave out the actual drinking part, that is) as yesterday was certainly a resounding success!
The crisp, clear morning made for a lovely drive, and no doubt allowed those in convertibles to feel the wind in their bobble hats for the first time in a while. However they got there though, upon arrival everyone agreed that the estate was a fantastic setting. The great views made for some wonderful pictures of the cars in front of the vineyards, with Box Hill towering behind, and the fantastic restaurant provided the perfect location to warm up and discuss the machines in attendance. And boy was there a lot to discuss. From a lovely old GMC Panel Van to a Lamborghini Diablo, and a gorgeous Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT to a show-stopping Ford GT. There were new Civic Type R's, modern-classic S2000s, a 2018 Kia Stinger GT - which turned plenty of heads - and more McLarens than you could shake a stick at.
Away from the car park, Denbies hosted their wine tours and the surrounding grounds were open to those that wanted to explore - both of which were thoroughly enjoyed by the sounds of the feedback we've had. The day had a particularly cheery feel to it, and we certainly had a fantastic morning.
We'd like to send a huge thank you to Denbies for hosting what will hopefully be the first of many PH events there, and also to the three local car dealers/specialists; Mole Valley Prestige of Capel, Renaissance Cars of Ripley and Vines BMW of Guildford, who all brought along some of their stock. Of course a final thank you goes to all of the members in attendance who made the day so warm (not literally!) and fun. Some of the PHers are already sharing pictures

Our next Sunday Service - the final, and biggest of the year - will be at Goodwood! Be sure to keep an eye out and get yourself on the list. We look forward to seeing you there!
