There’s not much I know about building replica mid-engined Ferraris, but I’m guessing that using a front-engined Ford as a basis is just going to complicate things. However, one man in the US clearly likes a challenge because he has taken his 1979 Mustang and turned it into a 308.
How does the Ford four-cylinder fit under the curved bonnet of a 308 I hear you say? It doesn’t, basically, that’s why a rather lovely bonnet bulge has been grafted on. You get a four-speed auto, but sadly no carburettor, which is missing. Just 50,000 miles though, but then again you wouldn’t want to go too far in this thing…
