The gob-smackingly expensive SPR1 M from Sportec arrives in the UK for the first time in July, when importer APS will show it off at the upmarket Salon Prive event.
858 plus 997 equals 235...
The SPR1 M is a carbon fibre re-body of Porsche's 997-series 911 turbo, which helps to account for its eye-watering £600,000 price-tag. The kitbag also includes an 858bhp twin-turbo engine conversion, which has allegedly allowed Sportec to clock the car at over 235mph around the Nardo high speed circuit in Italy.
When the SPR1 M was revealed at the Geneva show in March, Sportec said they would limit production to just 10 examples. According to APS here in the UK, 60 percent of production has already been sold, and even we can work out that means only 4 cars are left!
So if you want one you'd better hot-foot it down to London's Hurlingham Club on July 22nd-24th, where you'll presumably not be deterred by the event's £125 entry ticket.
If you can't make it, you'd better face the fact that the SPR1 M is probably not for you. Or maybe you're just not convinced, in which case watch this space as APS has promised detailed information and additional pictures of this spectacular machine soon.
