Production-line inspection shows off rear hatch
Audi has released a new selection of teaser images of the forthcoming Audi A5 Sportback coupe-saloon, this time undergoing quality inspections on the production line.
The images show the details of the new A5 Sportback's steeply raked rear hatch for the first time, and reveal A6-alike rear lights as well as the similarity of the nose of the car to the A5 coupe and convertible.
Engines for the A5 Sportback include three diesels - one 168bhp 2.0-litre four cylinder and 2.7 and 3.0-litre V6s with 187bhp and 237bhp respectively - and two petrol models - a 208bhp 2.0TFSI model and a range-topping (for now) 261bhp 3.2-litre V6.
An entry-level 141bhp diesel could be on the way for 2010. More intriguingly for PHers, it's been reported that an RS5 version using a modified version of the 4.2-litre naturally aspirated V8 from the old Audi RS4 could also be on the cards.
