After an F1-style summer break, our Sunday Service schedule swung back into action last weekend with dual events at the Blenheim Palace Classic & Supercar show.
Hang on... Is that a 205 T16?!
Despite having space for 500 cars, our PH parc ferme soon filled up with the usual array of incredible machinery. From the burbling V8 of a classic Dodge Charger to the cambered, pink rims of a Mitsubishi Evo VIII, via a stunning 675LT Spider, there was of course something for everyone.
The Blenheim Palace Classic & Supercar show, created by luxury automotive organisers Salon Prive, showcased more than 350 of the world's greatest classic and supercars in the stunning surroundings of Blenheim Palace. Playing host to the Pirelli Prestige & Performance Competition, the courtyard was packed with mind-blowingly rare cars. With both coupe and roadster examples of the Lamborghini Reventon, one of the 24 Aston Martin Vulcans, and one of just six Mercedes CLK GTR Roadsters, the chance to see some of these incredible cars was certainly not one to be missed!
Alongside the main event, and in tandem with our Sunday Service, we ran our very own PistonHeads Member Paddock. Featuring a selection of classic, sports and supercars that define the PH brand, it included a Ferrari 458 Speciale, Porsche Cayman GT4, Lamborghini Countach, Noble M12 GTO 3R, and, of course, a smorgasbord of TVRs. Despite the obvious gap in rarity and price between the PH community's offering and that of the Pirelli P&PC, there was certainly no gap in interest from the crowd.
Yes, that is a real CLK GTR Roadster. Gosh
We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who braved the rain to attend, especially to those who contributed their cars to our Member Paddock, and of course to the marshals and organisers of the Blenheim Palace Classic & Supercar show. Our next stop, at BMW HQ on September 17th, is already fully subscribed twice over. But fear not, there are still many more excellent Sunday Services to come before the year is out. Keep an eye out on site for more details soon!
