Between them, both the BMW M2 and four-cylinder Porsche Cayman were responsible for a lot of discussion and debate on PH in 2016. In fact the M2 was our most read

, with the Cayman's Boxster sibling coming in second. They both ranked ahead of far more exotic and expensive machinery, despite ostensibly being sub-£50K cars.
Here we have both Cayman and M2 together on track at Blyton, to see just how they compare. Dan is driving the Porsche and Matt is in the BMW, with a great deal of pride at stake too - while this was filmed before the decision was made, each had their respective steeds as their best of cars of 2016!
So can the BMW's slight power advantage offset its additional weight? Can a four-cylinder Cayman really be that much fun on track? Will there be any tyres left on the M2? Over to the boys...
