Ever fancied owning a Bond car but find the usual Astons and Esprits a bit too obvious? Then how about this – the Bond car that didn’t actually make it on to the screen. The car – bizarrely named ‘The Teaser’ – was built for a James Bond film in the late 70s and was made from a 1972 Jag XKE which was widened at the back by 10” and fitted with a Ford Cobra engine.
Apparently although it didn’t make the final cut it did appear in a music video, but the seller can’t remember which one. It’s not street legal and needs to go for more than $13,000. One of the special features is an interchangeable boot, so that James can nip out and change the look of the car to avoid the baddies. Not sure why that was never used – perhaps the filmmakers would need a few more years to introduce ridiculous gimmicks.
