The Cadillac CTS Coupe, which appeared at last year’s British motor show, has been postponed until 2010, it has been reported. The good-looking two-door was expected to make it here in RHD form but is another victim of the global economic crisis.
The good news however is that it is still on the cards, according to Cadillac spokesman David Caldwell. ‘We don't have it nailed down at the moment,’ he said when asked about the timing of the launch of the CTS coupe.
‘But it will be 2010. It sparked a lot of interest. We are going to launch this car. If it comes out next year, it would be an '11 model.’
The production version of the Coupe was expected to make its public debut at this year’s Detroit Auto Show.
At the UK show last year Cadillac told PistonHeads that the Coupe would be 90% the same as the CTS saloon and that a hot ‘V’ version had not been ruled out.
