We like Lego Technic on PH, as a 473-page forum thread (and counting!) plus favourable reaction to recent kits like the Peugeot 9X8 and Ferrari SP3 Daytona can attest to. We’d expect this one to absolutely hit the spot as well: a Lego Technic Valkyrie.
Aston Martin’s most extreme creation ever can now be brick built by Lego enthusiasts, the latest Technic box comprising 700 pieces to recreate the 1,140hp V12 hypercar. Those parts include moving pistons, a working diff, plus functional steering and gullwing doors; like all Technic kits, the Valkyrie is rather more than just a static model. As the press release suggests, it’s a ‘celebration of Aston Martin’s impressive feat of aerodynamics and engineering.’
In Podium Green with the Lime Green accents, there’ll be no mistaking the Valkyrie for anything else. There’s more to the Lego Technic Aston than just the satisfaction of building it, too, as a collaboration between Lego and the Gameloft Asphalt Legends Unite gaming platform means the Lego version can be raced in the game. Plus the actual Valkyrie, too, but where’s the fun in that?
Marek Reichmann said that the Lego-Aston tie-up “celebrates the impossible engineering and visionary thinking that brought Valkyrie to life.” Lego Technic’s Marketing Manager Alexandra Dragomir, said:“With Lego Technic and Aston Martin joining forces to create the new Lego Technic Aston Martin Valkyrie, we're taking fast-paced play to a whole new level. This latest set celebrates Valkyrie as the pinnacle of engineering, and this is emphasised through the moving functionality of LEGO Technic. We’re thrilled to bring Aston Martin’s hypercar to life in brick form, as well as an in-game experience on Gameloft Asphalt Legends Unite gaming platform.” The Valkyrie is available to order now on Lego’s website, priced from £54.99. Kids over nine can help out, too.
