Stately homes with gatherings of fast cars is a winning formula now found beyond West Sussex and Lord March's gaff. And why not! Cholmondeley Pageant of Power in Cheshire is one of the bigger and more established ones and also the most diverse, with action on land, water and in the air. OK, it's running over the same weekend as Le Mans (June 13-14) but not everyone can get to France and it's nice to know there's something going on at home.
