Some shops may already have advent calendars on their shelves but there's a far bigger priority before then - the
Classic and Sports Car show
The inaugural show is being held at Alexandra Palace from October 30 to November 1, meaning there's now only a month to go. It promises to be a superb show, encompassing all the very best about the classic car scene and featuring some great things to see and do.
Is this the best British car? Find out soon
'Best British car ever'
poll will be announced at the show. Not only that, but every single model from the 10-car show will be exhibited, from Mini to McLaren F1. It's a £30 million line up in fact, so well worth seeing.
Furthermore, the show is hosting an Aston Martin celebration marking the greatest sports cars it has produced. Keep a look out for the DB MkIII, DB5 and early V8 Vantage. Ally Pally will also host an Aston A3; produced in 1921, it is the oldest Aston in existence and has been restored by Aston Heritage.
There will be a celebration of Stirling Moss too, with some his greatest racing cars at the show such as the Lotus 19, Ferguson P99 and Vanwall VW4.
On top of this (we're getting there!), the C&SC show will feature an interview stage. Notable names up for a chat include Ross Brawn, Chris Goffey (really!), Ant Anstead and Tim Layzell. This in addition to a gallery from LAT Photographic, a host of cars from classic dealers and a 'Best of Britannia' section too.
So it's a show that will be well worth a visit. Gets you out of any Halloween parties you don't wish to attend as well. Plus there are the PH perks. Oh yeah. We've got 20 per cent off entry to offer, plus priority parking and a goody bag for all PHers who pre-book tickets. All you need to do is enter the code CSCSPH at the checkout. Not only will this trigger the discount but will also ensure you receive an email to apply for priority parking. And yes, that applies to modern as well as classic cars! Parking is limited however so if you can make it on public transport that might be wisest.
That's what you need to know about the Classic and Sports Car show then. For more details and to book tickets, see here. Enjoy the show!
