Alpine Electronics has launched a DVD-based satellite navigation in-car head-unit that is ideal for those that want both high-quality audio and a route guidance system in a unit that will slot into the dash.
Housed in a standard single-DIN car radio body, the INA-N333R offers a discreet alternative to Alpine’s full sized LCD monitor systems, yet includes all the latest features.
Navigation capabilities include human voice guidance, postcode input for any destination in Europe, over 700,000 points of interest including tourist sites, garages, hotels and restaurants, and a choice of views including intersection zoom view, highway mode, 3D motorway junction guidance and roundabout exit guidance.
The INA-N333R’s display is able to generate 19 shades between black and white to give clear, easy-to-read visual guidance. By adding the TMC-001P module, the unit becomes fully compatible with the European TMC traffic jam alert system, enabling it to display the location of current hold-ups and recalculate your route to avoid them.
A 4x45W amplifier is built-in, and the unit features three RCA pre-outs for connection to additional amplifiers. The built-in FM/MW/LW RDS radio can be upgraded to DAB using the TUA-100DAB module, and the built-in DVD-ROM drive doubles up as a CD player. Alternatively, an Alpine 6 or 12-disc boot-mounted CD changer can also be connected to house your favourite in-car CDs.
Available now, the INA-N333R enters a new price point for Alpine DVD-based navigation systems, retailing at £1,249.90 including software.
