You may not have heard of the Natalia SLS yet, but you’ll probably be able to hear one coming. The company with plans to launch this $2m technological showboat says it will be the first production car equipped with an MP3-enabled horn.
According to press releases from DiMora (which older PH-ers may remember as the maker of the retro-styled Clenet), the Natalia SLS will feature an array of technological delights, including said musical horn – although why anyone would wish to cover up the sound of the new 14-litre V16 engine that’s slated to fit under the Natalia’s bonnet is anyone’s guess.
Although this mighty lump will be pushing out 1,200bhp the company says that mpg will be 'excellent' thanks to 'variable-cylinder technology and an unusually lightweight engine block'.
When the Natalia will actually appear in production is anyone’s guess too, as DiMora’s website www.dimoramotorcar.com is sketchy on the details.
However, the site does boldly claim that its hand-built, $2m, sixteen-cylinder production automobile will be the world’s most luxurious, expensive and technologically advanced motoring creation.
‘The development and unveiling of the Natalia is designed to be a premier internet, televised, educational and media event of unprecedented proportions,’ said the company, in a perfectly natural way. ‘Millions of viewers from around the world will be able to watch our renowned craftsmen creating the Natalia via multiple live web cams transmitting from our production site.’
Wonder if they’re tuning-in at Bugatti yet?
