Most days we try and bring you car news, but today I have found a new motorbike so impossibly gorgeous we thought it was worth sharing, and if you are anything like me fast bikes appeal as much as fast cars.
Ducati has announced that it is extending the planned production run or the Desmosedici RR from 1250 to 1500 bikes due to high demand. All 1500 RRs will be delivered to owners by the end of 2008, so if you fancy one it may be worth calling your dealer now.
Following the tradition of many supercar manufacturers, the first RRs will go to existing Ducati owners with 999R riders being offered the first 500 of the new model.
The RR is a road version of the Moto GP bike and features a V4 rather than the usual V-Twin. The road bikes get a 1000cc, instead of the GP bikes 800cc, engine producing 200bhp at 13.800 rpm. The bodywork is 100% carbon Fibre with a tubular steel frame, this gives a dry weight of only 171kg.
A truly delectable machine, we want one- badly.
