The MINI John Cooper Works
As many of you will know from reading about my MINI Cooper S long termer, I'm quite a fan of the car. The turbocharged Cooper S is a focused and well-rounded performer and I believe the full blown JCW sharpens it up even more.
The thing is, the PH team now wants to know what you think. After weeks of intense negotiation the guys over at MINI UK have agreed to let us loose on eight MINI John Cooper Works cars and we have managed to get Brands Hatch all to ourselves to test the cars to the limit.
Now all we have to do is find 10 PH readers to join us at Brands on the 5th February for a days testing, and as is traditional for PH reader tests we will be filming the day for a feature to appear on the PistonHeads website later this year.
Throughout the day you will enjoy:
- One on one driver tuition
- Plenty of circuit time in the 1.6 turbocharged, 211bhp MINI John Cooper Works
- Passenger rides in the MINI Challenge car – this is the race car on which the new MINI John Cooper works is based
- The opportunity to deliver your verdict on camera
To be in with a chance of joining us you'll need to email mini@pistonheads.com and tell us a little about yourself. Please ensure you answer these questions in your e mail:
- How long have you been driving?
- Why do you think you should be chosen?
- What is your current opinion of MINI, in particular the Cooper S and John Cooper Works derivatives?
Please be completely honest with your answers, as we are looking to invite PHers with mixed views on the MINI, good or bad. We would be particularly keen to hear from any of you who are driving a performance car currently and have pondered buying a fast MINI as your next car.
The closing date for entries is Monday 12th January
